|When does the Early Renewal Period end?
Early Renewal ends on Monday.
What happens after Monday?
After March 15th, the renewal rate goes up $25 to $675 for a Regular Membership.
Do I have to register online?
Yes, online registration can be accomplished in less than 3 minutes and fewer than 10 mouse clicks.
Can I pay with a check?
Once you complete the online registration, you can send a check. But the check needs to be postmarked by March 15th to qualify for the discounted rate.
What if I don't want to renew this year but will renew next year?
Complete the online registration and pay the $175 Inactive Fee. The sooner you make that decision, the sooner we can communicate with people on our waitlist who are interested in Temporary Memberships.
I want to renew my registration but I don't remember my username or password.
Use the "Forget Your Login?" or "Forget Your Password?" function. Only one family e-mail address is tied to the username so you may have to try a few family e-mails. But it'll probably be the same address you used last year. Still having problems? Email [email protected].
On second thought, I don't want to renew this year. How do I sell or transfer my membership?
Unfortunately, you can't. Following amendments to the by-laws approved at the Annual General Meeting in 2013, memberships cannot be sold or rented. As a non-stock corporation, those amendments brought our by-laws into compliance with our statutory standing before the state. Memberships are non-transferable and are forfeit if not renewed for the season or deferred by payment of an inactivity fee.
What if I want to renew but I can't do it for another few weeks.
That's OK. You have until April 15th to guarantee your renewal. But, after that, our vacancies are offered to the waitlist and you may not be able to renew until 2022.
My family is going to be away starting in July. Can I renew for part of the season?
Unfortunately, no. We cannot pro-rate memberships at the beginning of the season. However, if you are away at the beginning of the season and want to come back for an August Membership only, please reply to get that process started. You will register as Inactive and then, if you do take an August Membership, we'll refund the Inactivity Fee.
Any other options I should know about?
Dolphin Memberships may be an option for you if you've been a member for 10 years or more and find that you're not using the pool as often as you did in the past.
What's all this I keep hearing about the Capital Improvement Fee?
We have added a $50 fee to all Regular and Senior memberships this year so that we can think about improvements to the pool and grounds that will benefit all of us. You will see this $50 added on to your total membership fee when you log in to register.
Is KGRC hiring?
Yes! Click here to apply as a lifeguard, a swim coach, or to work at the Snack Shack! We'd love to have you.
What is the 2021 season going to look like at the pool? What about COVID?
Obviously, there are many factors at play and we don’t have all the answers. We do know that safety is always the number one priority. We will continue to comply with the guidelines mandated by the Governor of Virginia, as well as state and local health officials. Virginia is currently in the same “phase” as at the end of last summer with a few extra restrictions in place. We believe that, at a minimum, your summer pool experience will be similar to how we ended the 2020 season - with lots of opportunities for your family to swim and dive!
