KGRC President's August 30 Update

KGRC President's August 30 Update

Dear KGRC members,

It’s hard to believe that the end of summer is here, but closing weekend is upon us. I hope you have all enjoyed the 2019 season at KGRC. We certainly had a lot of fun this summer with another winning season for the Dolphins swim team, another winning season for the Dolphins dive team, a lovely time watching our Dive-In Movie despite the thunder, teen night, holiday party games and prizes, more cotton candy and Float Nights every week! We also enjoyed extended pool hours every day this summer, including staying open for all area school summer breaks and we did all this with a new management company. Whew!

What did you think of the summer? The board of directors welcomes your comments throughout the season both good and bad, and we appreciate that many of you have taken time to reach out to us. We can plan and make changes if needed much better when we have input from the members. The Board's September meeting will focus on a recap of the season, so if you have suggestions or ideas, please let us know soon

Labor Day Weekend:
While the last week of the summer season has felt more like October, the Labor Day weekend should be fabulous and warm! I hope you will come join us at the pool. We have regular hours Friday, Saturday and Sunday with our weekly float night from 6 to 9 PM Sunday evening. On Monday, Labor Day, please plan to join us for our annual KGRC End of Season Party! From 12:00 to 3:00 PM we will have games, food specials at the snack shack, cotton candy, and our traditional coin toss. You don’t want to miss out on the fun.

Going to the Dogs!
The pool will close to humans at 7:00 pm Monday and then it will - once again - go to the dogs! Your pup can swim from 7-8pm. All we ask is that you fill out this form, and bring it with you when you show up with your dog. This helps us ensure the safety of all of the dogs (and people). Of course, we ask you to use common sense about how your dog plays with others and always clean up if it leaves a mess. We could use a volunteer or two to help collect forms so if you plan to be here anyway we would love your help.  And, as usual, we will be collecting donations for Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation. Your generosity is appreciated!

One final note about the Lost & Found. Everything that’s left on Monday night will go to charity, so be sure to take one last look this weekend to claim your things.

Thank you for making this a great summer at KGRC!
See you this weekend at the pool!
