Swim & Dive Lessons:

For those interested in swim and dive lessons with one of our Dolphin coaches, you may reach out to our coaches via the contact list posted on the bulletin board at the pool entrance.

Who’s Hungry?:

For those of you new to KGRC, the Snack Shack (located behind the clubhouse) is open! We have all your summertime favorites from soft pretzels, to ice cream cones, and ice cold cokes! Our weekday hours are 12-8pm and weekends 11:30am-9pm. We do have a minimum credit card purchase of $5, but we have eGift cards for sale at the register to make transactions quick and easy. Purchase an eGift card and link it to your email/phone number to use for future visits. EGift cards are reloadable for easy use all month long. Think of it as “running a tab” for ice cream!

Dolphins’ Gold:

You think Team USA is doing well in the water… have you heard about KGRC’s Dolphins?! We’ve earned the Gold for sure!

Our Dolphins swim team finished the year undefeated, going 5-0 and winning Division 4. The NVSL did not hold All Star Relays this year, but had the event taken place, 9 of the Dolphin relays would have qualified. We also sent 13 swimmers (for 18 swims!) to Individual All Stars this past Saturday. Most importantly, we had a wonderful summer full of fun, friendship, and fast swims! Thank you to ALL of our swimmers who joined us this summer. We can’t wait to see you back again next year!

KGRC’s Dolphin dive team had a phenomenal season in Division 2, going 4-1 for a 2nd place finish in a season that saw amazing diving from our seasoned divers and newcomers too!  All of our divers enjoyed the opportunity to share their talents with the community during our 2nd Annual Intrasquad Meet.  Check out the season highlights on the Dive team’s Instagram page.  A HUGE thank you to our wonderful coaches and parent volunteers and most of all our divers who showed incredible team spirit all season!

We are hoping to offer our Winter swim and dive programs once again this year, and are awaiting word from our preferred site, Yorktown High School.  The teams will reach out as soon as we have more information.

All About the Fun:

We know the kids of all ages at KGRC enjoy a good time! We have a few more social events coming up. The float night was so fun and popular, we’ve decided to do more! Bring your floats on August 8 & 15 from 7:00-9:00pm. Remember, no super large floats so we don’t impede the lifeguards’ job of watching all swimmers.

Adults Only: Would you like Cheese with That?

Please join us on Saturday, August 21st for an adults only wine & beer happy hour (7-9 pm). Local business, The Wine Outlet in McLean will join us with wine and beer tastings. BYO dinner, relax and enjoy the pool with your friends and neighbors!

KGRC Cardboard Boat Race!:

Get your team, get your supplies and build a boat because the First Annual KGRC Cardboard Regatta is coming! On Sunday, August 29, at 2:00pm, the competition will be fierce as you, the members, compete on the water. Teams will show off their nautical skills not only with the fastest vessel, but also design, themes and even costumes are an important part of the event. The full set of Regatta Rules is posted on the KGRC website. (The rain date is 9/5.) All competitors should register for the race by August 20th by signing up at the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C45A5AF29A3FD0-kgrc

Please include all sailors’ names, ages and team name. Yes, there will be prizes!

We anticipate a super fun afternoon so we encourage all to come watch. If you think you have what it takes to be a judge, email Caryn at [email protected].

So much going on! So much fun!

See you at the pool!
